Bennet In Venice: Klemey's Latest Story

Klemey turned up the radio and closed her eyes. She slowly swayed to the music then swang her head wildly as Allison Iraheta's 'Friday I'll be overyou' blared through the speakers...It had been five weeks since she had gone to Gubler's to find him in bed with another girl. She remebered not calling so she could surprise him with a romantic and spontaneous dinner...Only it was her who had been surprised in the end.
"...You weren't what you advertised!.." She started swaying her hips and waving her arms.
By the end of the song she was so into dancing that she didn't notice Angel and Rai standing in her doorway. "Rai," Angel whispered before Klemey realized they were there, "I think so gone f'ing loo-loo." Rai doubting her own words reassured her Klemey was okay. "Klemey!" Rai raised her voice over the music. Klemey jumped when she realized they were watching her. "Oh! Sorry, I didn't know you guys were coming..." Klemey turned off the radio. Angel looked around the living room at the trash and laundry piled everywhere, "We called you seven times, we left messages!" She pulled a face when she saw what she could only guess was a moldy grilled cheese on the coffee table. "Yeah, we haven't seen you in like two and a half weeks, we had to check if you were still alive," Rai walked over to the couch and shoved the twinkie wrappers to the floor as she sat. "Oh, well..." Klemey, sweaty from dancing sat crisscrossed on the floor. "Klemey,we're really worried about you. It's been over a month and look at you." Rai looked at her sympathtically. Klemey tried not to, but couldn't help it as a tear rolled down her face. "Rai, what if Chris left you?" Klemey asked, "or Angel what if Gio did? I don't know what to do anymore...It's like I can't breath...I don't want to do anything..." She looked at her grilled cheese on the coffee table from six days ago, "I can't even get myself to eat a grilled cheese..." Then the tears came a flooding. It took awhile for Angel and Rai to calm her down, but after about three and a half hours she was good. "Klemey, We actually came here on a serious note though...Besides checking on you." Rai was beaming with excitement, wanting to tell her the news. "We're going to kidnap you!!!!" Angel yelled. "Angel!" Rai threw a pillow at her, "Let me tell her, it's becuase of my boyfriend that we can do this!" Klemey was looking at them through slightly swollen eyes like they were the ones who had gone completely mad. "ANYways, what I wanted to come here to tell you is...we're going to....V-E-N-I-C-E!!!!" Rai and Angel started jumping up and down like baboons. "What?!?!" Klemey still confused asked. "Me, you, and Angel are going to Venice for an entire month! Chris's new album has become such a hit that he has now just signed a contract for a 24 month tour that goes all over the world! And the first spot is Venice, Italy!!!" Rai knealt in front of Klemey grabbing her by the shoulders. "Klemey it's simple, us and Venice baby!" They watched Klemey connect the dots..."AHHHH!!!!" She smiled and joined them with they're screaming and jumping.

Three days later:

Angel stomped her foot on the gravel outside the airport, Damn bottle! She was trying to push a half full bottle into her carry on. Rai came around the corner going over the details of the flight with one of Chris's bodygaurds. She stopped looked at Angel and shook her head. "Angel you know just because we're flying on a private airplane doesn't mean you're allowed to bring your own drinks." Angel gave the bottle a last violent shove and after it popped into her bag she looked up at Rai, as she blew a strand of her hair out of her eyes she said, "It's nothing!" Rai just laughed and looked across the street as Klemey was getting out of a cab. Rai whistled, "Rico! Go help Klemey with her bags!" Oh! The advantages of dating a celebrity...Rai thought.
"It's so nice of you to join us Klemey!" Rai tapped her finger on her diamond studded watch that Chris had given to them on their year and a half anniversary, "You were suppose to be here a half hour ago!"
"I am so sorry! It's just I had to finish packing...I spent that last two days cleaning my house and my life!" Klemey smiled as she lifted her bag handle over her shoulder. "That's good for you Klemey! I'm so happy your finally moving on from that mother f*cker of a scum bag!" Angel stated as she began walking to the plane, that was just to the right of them. "Yeah, I just thought that with us going to Venice, this would be a perfect time for me to forget him...I cleaned every room and burned all his pictures and gifts!" Klemey remebered running to her closet for the fire extinguisher when the flames from the burning pink Valentine's bear started reaching the ceiling. "Wow, Klemey..." Rai patted her on the shoulder, "You couldn't have picked a better timing!" Rai smiled. As they buckled their seat belts after boarding the plane the pilot's voice came through the speakers..."Ladies! Please fasten your seat belts and prepare for take off!"...Rai grabbed Angel's and Klemey's hands and together they all yelled "Venice here we come!!!!'

"Wow!" Klemey was in awe as she stared at the ceiling of they're hotel, Rai was checking them in. She looked at the lobby with it's red and gold stripped walls and the pale green seats that looked all to comfortable. She was smelling the vase full of beautiful pink flowers when Rai called to her. "Klemey! Come on the rooms are this way!" All three of them walked up the stairs and took in the beauty of the place.
"Here we are!" Rai said as they stopped in the middle of a hall. "396 for you Angel, 397 for you Klemey, and 398 for me and Chris!" Angel grabbed her key and went in her room, "I need to take a shower before we do anything!" She smiled at them as she closed her door. Rai stopped Klemey before she went in her own room. "Don't tell Angel, but Gio is flying down in a week as a surprise for Angel, she doesn't know so shhhhh!" Rai smiled and went into her room.
Klemey threw herself on the king sized bed, Awwwww! The long flight had exhuasted her. She let the pillowy soft sheets soak her up.

An hour later they all met in the lobby, Angel freshly showered and Klemey almost unwillingly out of the bed. "So what shal we go see first?" Rai walked along the streets almost bursting with happiness, Venice was just as beautiful as she had imagined. "The Bell Tower? Academia? Saint Mark's Square?" She suggested. "Well..." Klemey looked at all the windows of the shops they past, "I want to go to Rialto."
"But I want to go to Saint Mark's Square!" Angel protested, "Rialto is just an old bridge isn't it? Where's the fun in that?" She smirked. Resisting the urge to snap back Klemey suggested, "Why don't I go to Rialto and you guys go to the square?" Rai looked at her, "Are you sure?" Klemey grabbed a map out of her bag and smiled, "I'll manage!"
They waved goodbye then parted ways.

Two hours later Klemey finally turned the corner and saw the Rialto. God, finally! She had gotten lost about five different time and almost considered asking for directions, but didn't. She walked up the bridge slowly and carefully running her hands along the sides of it. She stopped in the middle and looked over the edge, the water was so clear and flowing. She decided to lean there for awhile, she closed her eyes and listened to all the bustling of the tourists, the seconds turned into minutes as she let them pass.
"You know, the sun's rays are quite unhealthy for your skin," Klemey opened an eye and peered to her right was the guy who had spoke. "Really now?" She turned to face him. "Yeah, they do..." He leaned closer to her and smiled, "And you look a bit wierd standing there like that for no reason!" She laughed, "Oh, thank you for telling me that..." She looked at the water again. "My name's Landon, by the way." He offered his hand, she took it. "I'm Klemey." "So what brings you to the Rialto?" He asked while putting his elbows on the railing and placed his face in his palms. "Hmmm, I don't really know. It just seemes like a cool place to go." She rocked on her heals. "Did you know it was built in 1588 by Antonio da Ponte?" He eyed her. "No I didn't." She answered.
"Yeah, the original wood bridge collapsed after a crowd of people attending a wedding put to much weight on it." She raised her eyebrows, "Wow, how interesting! Those poor people..." He pointed to a tourist shop and commented, "This place use to be more of a food market, but now...." She punched his arm and said "Well, aren't you a bundle of random information!" He laughed then rubbed his arm and playfully said "Ow!"
"Well, it was nice chatting with you, but I must be off!" She waved a small goodbye and turned to leave. "Just like that then?" He called after her. Klemey stopped and looked over her shoulder. "What?" She asked the strange guy. He ran up to where she was standing, "Well, I think it's more proper for two people who meet and strike up a conversation to say..." She could tell he was thinking of something to say,"...get an ice cream after!" He smiled at her. She looked at him. He was wearing a button up shirt that had blue spots all over it and brown pants and he was carrying a faded red fringed jacket. "So your saying, that just because we talked for about a minute, on a bridge that is over 500 years old that we should now go get ice cream?" She looked at him quizically. "Yeah!" He looked into her eyes, "Why not?" She thought about it a little then decided to agree with him on the why not? "Okay," She shrugged her shoulders. "Great!" He pointed to her left, "I know this great little shop not to far from here!" And with that they set off.
