HONK! HONK!
"Get out of my way! God!" Rai was going 85 mph in a 35 zone. She had 20 minutes to get to the other side of town. She needed to park her car and take a boat across a canal to the hotel. Diana was waiting in the boat and was praying Rai would make it on time.
After Rai called Diana, she took a cab to the Vienna Airport and met her at the entrance. "Hello, hello, hello. Never thought we'de be in this situation again, did you?" Diana asked with a smile on her face.
"Ha! I live for moments like this. It finally gives me a chance to use my wisdom and wit. Things I get in trouble for back home." Rai walked up the counter to submit their luggage.
"So...you didn't tell anyone did you?" Diana asked Rai in a whisper. Rai looked at Diana with an unimpressed expression. She turned back to her paperwork and simpley said "No Diana, I didn't."
"Well good...we don't need more people knowing what we do in our free time." Diana said in a care-free voice.
Rai handed her papers to the woman behind the counter and turned to Diana. "What do you mean more people?!"
"Uh, nothing. Never mind." Diana tried to torn Rai's attention to her carry-on. "Does this look too big? I don't want to look suspicious.."
"Diana," Rai removed the smallest carry-on she's ever seen from Diana's hands. "Who did you tell?" Rai asked her calmly.
"His name is Jeremy. I met him at a bar and we started getting a little too comfortable with each other. He asked me what I did for living and I told him I'm a travel agent by day, but an ass-kicking agent by night."
"Did he ask for details?" Rai asked as they headed for security.
"Not really, but maybe he was too drunk to remember anything." Diana placed her belongings to go through the scanner.
"I was thinking of telling Chris..." Rai stated trying to bring the focus back on her.
"What?! Why?! You can't do that! If you told and Clarissa found out, we'd both be dead." Diana grabbed Rai's arm stopping her from entering the metal detector. "I mean, what if he broke up with you? Or you with him?! He could reveal your secret!"
"Ok, first of all, we're not gonna break up," Rai held up her left had flashing a huge diamond ring as she walked backwards into the detector, "we're almost locked together forever."
BEEP! BEEP!
Rai turned around and almost collided into a security guard. "Miss, you're gonna need to take that off." Rai's face turned red with embarrassment, "Oh, sorry 'bout that." She walked back to the scanner and passed Diana who was trying really hard not to laugh at her know-it-all companion.

VROOOM!
Rai sped past 3 cars in one lane and swerved to pass 5 more in the other. "Gosh, people drive so slow." Rai had 5 minutes and she finally got to the dock. She could see Diana in the boat and the hotel 50 feet away from her.
Rai slammed the brakes in the parking lot and parked her car. She jumped out of the car, changed her floral, flowy top and whit high-waisted skirt with a bright green band across the top to a black pair of skinny jeans and a black cashmere sweater. She also changed her white gladiator sandals to a pair of black, knee high boots with 3-inch heels. Rai trained in heels, so she would look classy as she ran away or chased someone. Rai grabbed her alternative cell and pager and shoved them in her back pockets while throwing her first outfit in the back seat.
She ran to the edge of the dock and jumped in the boat. "Diana?"
"3 minutes." Diana answered knowing the details of her assignment. Rai is like the boss and Diana is the secretary. Rai does all the important things like chase freaks and negotiate with creepers, while Diana is only there for assistance.
But Diana is alright with that. But she needs to tell Rai what she knows. Diana also received a phone call from a boomy, raspy voice after she hung up with Rai. The man told some things to Diana, not a single one of them good. They were 10 feet away from the hotel. She needed to warn Rai. And soon. They were headed straight into trouble.
"Uhm, Rai?" Diana turned towards Rai. "You need to stop. I have to tell you something."
"Not now Diana, we're almost there." Rai replied. "STOP RAI! It's important! It's about Jeremy. The guy from the bar."
Rai froze and removed the paddle from the water below them.
TO BE CONTINUED.
